The 360° drone shot: a whole house in 10 seconds
The top-down 360° drone shot shows a house, its grounds and its pool in a few seconds. How we film it, with the example of a villa in Obernai.

The top-down 360° drone shot is one of the most effective shots in a property video. The drone rises straight above the house, then slowly turns on itself. In ten seconds, you understand everything: the house, the grounds, the pool, the terraces, and how they fit together. Here is why it works and how we filmed it for a villa in Obernai.
Why it works
- It shows the site plan: the shape of the house and the plot at a glance.
- It holds the eye: the slow rotation keeps people watching, on social media as on a website.
- It loops: a full turn joins up seamlessly, ideal as a page background.
- It answers questions: where the pool is, where the sun is, how close the neighbours are.
How we film it
- Height: high enough to see the whole plot, low enough to keep detail.
- Speed: a full turn in ten to twenty seconds, never faster.
- Light: late afternoon, when shadows draw the volumes.
- Framing: the house in the centre, the street and neighbours out of shot as far as possible.
- Rules: we check flight zones before every shoot.

Our 360° in Obernai
In Obernai, we filmed this shot above the Villa du Mont National, for sale with the agency Christelle Clauss Immobilier. In one turn, you see the 12-metre infinity pool, the upper terrace with its hot tub, the lower terrace with the summer kitchen and the 1,750 m² garden. It now opens the "Why a film" section of our home page.

Frequently asked questions
Do you need permission to fly a drone?
It depends on the area. Some zones are prohibited or need authorisation. We check before every flight.
Does the 360° work for a flat?
Less well: it suits houses with grounds, a pool or a view.
